First Fridays Roanoke 2026 — Schedule

First Fridays at Five is downtown Roanoke's free outdoor live music series. Every First Friday of the summer season, Franklin Road between Williamson and Jefferson closes for a different band — tribute acts, R&B, country, and more — starting at 5:00 PM. Free admission. Food trucks on site.

About First Fridays at Five

First Fridays at Five is a long-running summer concert series in downtown Roanoke, organized in partnership with the City of Roanoke and Downtown Roanoke Inc. Each Friday of the season brings a different band to Franklin Road SW, with the street closed off for a free open-air concert. The series typically draws families, downtown workers grabbing a post-work drink, and music fans across the Roanoke Valley.
