VCCS Poet Laureate and Visual Art Luminary Competition

Virginia Western Community College will host the second Poet Laureate and Visual Art Luminary competition on Saturday, March 28.The event will feature performances from poet laureates who have won their college competitions and advanced to the state competition. In addition, an art exhibit will feature the work of visual art luminaries who have won their college competitions. The visual art competition was open to a variety of art forms, including media media, painting, and photography. Students had to create work related to theme, “I Dream.” All 23 community colleges organized competitions to choose their winners.
