Architectural Highlights Behind-the-Scenes Tour

Discover the Taubman Museum of Art from a whole new perspective during this Architectural Highlights Tour, an engaging, behind-the-scenes experience that reveals the vision, innovation, and craftsmanship behind one of Roanoke’s most iconic landmarks that Architectural Digest named one of the best designed museums in the nation. Led by local architects and individuals directly involved in the creation of the building, this approximately 90-minute guided tour traces the Museum’s architectural story from the ground up. Designed by Randall Stout and inspired by the natural forms of Virginia’s landscape, the building’s soaring glass, steel, patinated zinc, and locally sourced Hokie Stone come alive through expert insight and little-known details.
