Member Hour: Meet Artist Mindy Lam

Known for blurring the line between art and adornment, Lam transforms metal, crystals, and semi-precious stones into intricate, ethereal works distinguished by her signature metal lacework and meticulous craftsmanship. Her work combines the elegance of classic couture with a fresh, contemporary vision, inviting viewers into a world where familiar forms take on new magic. For the Taubman Museum of Art’s 75th Anniversary, Lam was commissioned to create a new dress and frame, now featured alongside a selection of brooches, crowns, and frames in Mindy Lam: Transcendent Beauty . The exhibition explores Lam’s enduring fascination with texture, structure, and the transformative potential of material, revealing her work as sculpture, storytelling, and objects of wonder. Members will have the opportunity to meet Mindy
