$18 - Come out to Explore Park... sit back, relax and let the currents take you downstream on a leisurely float of Roanoke River. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Tubes, safety equipment, and transportation provided at Explore Park. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Program meets at Visitor Center.

Explore Park sits just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 115 and covers a huge stretch of land along the river. There are over 14 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, plus river access and things like the Treetop Quest zip lines. Twin Creeks Brewpub (Brugh Tavern) runs out there, which makes it easy to turn a day outside into a full hang session. You can camp in cabins, yurts, or go primitive, and most events lean into outdoor and seasonal programming at the Park but Brugh Tavern has a great outdoor stage for music.
