Get ready to mix sunshine with gratitude as you are invited to participate in the annual Draw a Turkey Contest with The Rescue Mission! Participants 5th gread and younger are encouraged to use any drawing style cartoon, realistic or abstract to bring their ideas to life. Submissions will be judged on creativity, originality, and how well they capture the Thanksgiving spirit. The winner of this contest will have their design featured on the t-shirt for the 2026 Drumstick Dash 5K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Roanoke. It s never too early to make your holiday plans and hit your move goals for the year! The Rescue Mission will also be on site to give out Entry Forms for the 2026 Drumstick Dash.
