Bradley Carr on Guitars and Vocals Jay Gladden on Bass Guitars Matt Leonard on Drums John McBroom on Guitars and Vocals Timbo Sims on Keyboards and Vocals I remember the day my best friend got his first real guitar, a Gibson ES-335. From that point on, music was the coolest thing ever. We made such bad music in our basements through high school. Bradley Carr, the friend in question, made it into the clubs a little earlier in a band called the Outlets. Flash forward to college and on the first day I met Timbo Sims, who eventually let on that he played piano. We all hung around the music department and played music when the rooms weren’t in use and eventually formed a frat band called the Opposition. This was the first place that Bradley, Timbo, and I played together. I was on drums, and it was nothing but fun. A few years later upon moving back to the area I did everything I could to get into the band that both Bradley and Timbo were in in the early nineties. With much annoyance and about six months, we became members of the band Red Weather. We released 3 albums and toured the east coast for several years and eventually went our own ways, all the while playing music in the local scene. Timbo and I started an acoustic duo called the Freak Rangers that finished into a band that did a little studio work, but never really played out. Over the years Red Weather would reunite to play a show here and there and we always talked about getting back together and writing and gigging again… With the help of two of the area’s finest musicians on bass and drums respectively. Jay Gladden and Matt Leonard round out the ensemble to allow the continuation of chasing the music again. – John McBroom, Freak Rangers
