Colonel Josh and his Cowboy Pals have been entertaining kids of all ages since 2002 with clever, original songs and choice favorites we all remember. Josh Arnson aka “Colonel Josh” grew up in Washington, D.C., active in the late 1970’s-early 1980’s D.C. music scene. Colonel Josh got his nickname from the Asylum Street Spankers in Austin, Texas during his tenure there with them. As an original member of the Spankers, Colonel Josh spanked his flat top Gibson J150 as rhythm guitarist and sang as a featured vocalist from 1996-1999. Prior to that, Josh started his career in D.C. with The Caves (1979-1980), The Golden Bats (1980-1982), brother David’s Insect Surfers (1982-1984) then on to Pittsburgh for the famous A.T.S. band (1984-1990). Colonel Josh combines his clever Americana style originals with old favorites from Hank Williams, George Jones, Freddie Fender and other great artists.
