Tucked away in Roanoke’s historic Mountain View neighborhood sits the Fishburn Mansion, known today as the Mountain View Recreation Center. The 42-room Georgian-Revival mansion was built in 1907 by Junius B. Fishburn, a prominent publisher, banker, entrepreneur, and philanthropist throughout the Roanoke Valley in the first half of the 20th century. During this guided tour you will learn about the history of the home, the family that occupied it, and the significance the Mansion plays in today’s Roanoke community. The tour will last approximately 1 hour. Please arrive 15 minutes early. PRICE PER PERSON: $5.00. The full amount is due when the reservation is made.
