A Celebration of Ivan Illich's Centenary

We are hosting a birthday party (a 100th birthday party to boot!) to celebrate a man who is no longer around, and for whom most of us never met. Join us as we bring people together to participate in a global celebration of Ivan Illich’s centenary. Whether you're new to Illich's works (e.g. Deschooling Society, Tools for Conviviality, and Shadow Work) or have read them before, this gathering is an opportunity for us to consider and reflect on today's world through the perspective of Illich's social critique. Join your hosts Crystal Thornebrooke and Jeffrey White for an interactive evening of short readings, discovery, and convivial dialogue in celebration of Illich’s 100th birthday.
