Melrose Plaza is an epic 80,000 square foot community hub in Northwest Roanoke that opened in July 2025 and the word is actively spreading. It includes Market on Melrose, the first Goodwill-operated grocery store in the country, along with a wellness center, a bank, and The Excel Center, Virginia's first free public high school for adults. Events tend to focus on the community, like health fairs, workshops, and cultural programming. It's more about what it offers than any one event. Definitely check it out!
