Description
$7 - Take a stroll in the woods and collect some mini items to make a forest house. Learn about the beautiful smaller plants hidden among the trees and the special forest creatures that depend on them. We'll camouflage ourselves as forest animals for a stealth look-around; then to help channel our inner fairy, we'll make wings and forest wands too!

Explore Park sits just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 115 and covers a huge stretch of land along the river. There are over 14 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, plus river access and things like the Treetop Quest zip lines. Twin Creeks Brewpub (Brugh Tavern) runs out there, which makes it easy to turn a day outside into a full hang session. You can camp in cabins, yurts, or go primitive, and most events lean into outdoor and seasonal programming at the Park but Brugh Tavern has a great outdoor stage for music.
