U.S. Constitution Day Bell Ringing Ceremony

The Colonel William Preston Chapter NSDAR will host a U.S. Constitution Day bell ringing ceremony on Thursday, September 17, at 3:30 pm, at Freedom Plaza, Church Avenue/Second Street, Downtown Roanoke. A bell ringing will be held at 4 pm celebrating the time and date church bells rang in Philadelphia announcing the signing of the U.S. Constitution of the United States. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, 402 Second Street, Roanoke, VA. Attendees are asked to bring their own bell for the ceremony. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
