The Great Boones Mill Coffin Race

Human-powered 'coffins' will race down Main Street, Boones Mill for fun and money. Limit of 15 teams. Entry fee $50 per team. Deadline Aug. 15. Must be 18 years old. Five-person teams, each to include one rider and four pushers. Teams must have a plan for steering, stopping. No pedals, steering wheel, canned air, ropes. Food, other vendors. Raffles for baskets of spooky stuff. A portion of proceeds will be given to a local funeral home for assistance with pauper burials. A fun take on Halloween.
