Tickets are sold at the door. *The RVMGS will also be collecting canned goods for the Salem Food Bank. The Roanoke Valley Mineral and Gem Society hosts their annual Gem and Mineral Show at the Salem Civic Center. The show will feature a large selection of fossils and minerals from around the world as well as both custom and unique jewelry. This event will provide shoppers with a wide selection of gifts for all ages, education and mineral identification. Geode Cutting - Each Year the Roanoke Valley Mineral and Gem society has been host to our annual show for 43 years! This is our main fundraiser to support the club’s mineral education, mineral collecting, and college scholarship opportunities. Be sure to stop by the Club’s Geode Cutting booth to have the opportunity to have a Geode cut or cracked open and be the first to see what nature created inside.
