Description
Ben Wendel is a Los Angeles-born saxophonist, composer, and producer whose work sits at the intersection of jazz, classical, and contemporary music. His solo work has earned equal admiration, particularly his "Monthly" project, in which he composed and recorded a new duet with a different world-class musician each month, releasing the results as intimate, self-produced videos that captivated audiences worldwide.Wendel has collaborated with Ambrose Akinmusire, Tigran Hamasyan, and a broad range of artists across genres, and has released multiple critically praised albums. Known for a warm, expressive tone and sophisticated compositional voice, he remains one of the most inventive and emotionally resonant musicians working in jazz today.

More about Jefferson Center
Jefferson Center is a performing arts venue in a wonderful 1920s building that used to be Jefferson High School. The main space, Shaftman Performance Hall, seats 925 and was modeled after a 17th-century English opera house. The acoustics are better than most places around, which is why so many shows land there.
